Essay Planning

We started the period with groups sharing thesis statements (aka claims) and posters. Then, after introducing the essay assignment, we students chose theme and wrote a claim. We wrapped up the period talking about essay planning. Students should start planning their essay over the weekend. Slides with models are available at Unified Classroom.
